You have all the details planned, but did you remember dance lessons, for the first dance at your wedding reception?

There should be much more style and showmanship to your “first dance”, than watching

out for your partner’s toes and standing in the middle of the floor, rocking back and forth! 

(Oh no!! The penguin dance! Don't do it....please!!)

Are you deathly afraid of boring your guests or dancing like you were still in grade school?

Prepare for your Wedding Reception first dance, by letting us choreograph a first dance that

will look great on your video, dazzle your family and friends, and be fun for you!  

Come with your first dance wedding song in hand or discuss choosing the right music.   Learn how to work with your dance space, shaping, frame and form.    Learn the steps to the most popular wedding dances:

         Fox Trot     -    Country 3 Step    -    Waltz    -    Country 2 Step

            Rumba    -    Night Club Two Step    -    Social Slow Dance

and/or the more exotic first dances (usually requires private sessions also):

Tango   -   Viennese Waltz   -   Salsa    -   Swing   -   and many more!

Receive tips on how to enjoy yourself while creating a memorable first dance, by playing to the audience and each other.

Then, add lighthearted flourishes like a well-timed wink, spinning the bride, kissing her hand, or a bow and curtsy.  More adventuresome couples may want to add a special flair or even a dip! 

Leave the class with the confidence to let go of your fears, and create a dance to remember!

We have several class options available for you.  Our group classes are the most economical,  and you will also meet other brides and grooms and be able to chat with them about their special day.  

Private lessons (one couple with one instructor) are more to the liking of some couples, as they may want more individual instruction.

Our most popular package is a combination of a group class and individual instruction, where the private wedding dance lesson is a follow up, in which you have a full hour to discuss issues you may have with your "routine" and be able to work with your first dance, to the music you have chosen, in a private setting. 

This Reception First Dance class (Group or Private) are for couples only.   We can also instruct Father/Daughter, Mother/Son and Father/Mother combinations and also the wedding party and family/reception guests... in other classes, for those who are interested in learning more about dancing at weddings. BUT... if you desire, Parents are invited to attend the same class as the bride and groom. (Priced same as the Bride and Groom).

Recently, a popular option has become semi-private group classes, in which you choose up to seven couples of your choice, for instruction on the dances most suited to your event. Click on the semi-private link to the left for more information.
